Edward Simmons | Partner Emeritus

Edward Simmons is a Partner Emeritus at Simmons Investment Advisors. He is experienced in the creation of income-generating portfolios and family wealth transfer techniques. Prior to his retirement at the end of 2022, Ed focused on fixed income investments, analyzing and researching fixed income securities for clients. Ed brought a refined, mature approach to investment advice, which he instilled into our team.

Prior to HighTower, Ed served as the Senior Financial Consultant and First Vice President at Merrill Lynch. Before entering Financial Services, he was teacher and Headmaster at private secondary schools.

Ed earned his Doctorate in Education from Harvard and holds a Master of Arts degree in Mathematics from the University of New Hampshire and a Bachelor of the Arts degree in Economics from Wesleyan University.

Ed is an active athlete, and he previously served on the board of multiple local non-profit organizations. He and his wife, Priscilla, live on Cousins Island in Yarmouth, Maine.
